Description
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri is seeking a Court Reporter for its Springfield division (Announcement CR-101526), open until filled. The reporter creates a verbatim record of court proceedings, produces transcripts within the time and cost requirements of the Judicial Conference, provides readbacks on request, and maintains records suitable for audit. Candidates must have at least one year of prime court reporting experience and hold NCRA Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) certification or an equivalent credential. Realtime reporting skill and proficiency with computer-aided transcription software such as Eclipse or Case CATalyst are required, and reporters who do not yet hold a realtime certification must obtain one within three years of appointment. This is a full-time federal position serving the district and magistrate judges in Springfield, Missouri. Pay: $95,454 - $109,772 (CR Levels 1-5), plus transcript fees.
